THE HOUSE WE GREW UP IN

I pull back the layered curtain of our fear

To reveal a large dream-catcher

In the foreground of a majestic tree.

This tree stood still and tall, fully grown,

Throughout our childhood struggles to ascend.

All along, it extended an outstretched arm

Setting the example we sought but did not see.

My message this week is to be kind.  Revisit your past with compassion, and measure your progress from a forgiving state of mind. It will give you cause to celebrate.
