In lieu of To-Do lists, try Targets.

Checking stuff off your list with no big picture relationship to anything does not yield the same satisfaction as actually getting somewhere.

Which will you feel better about at the end of the week? Picking up your dry cleaning or landing that gig?  What will actually move you closer to what matters most?

Which three things that, if accomplished by the end of the week, will move you closer to your big goal?

  • What phone call are you putting off?

  • Did you plan that seminar yet?

  • Have you bought those plane tickets for the trip you say you’re going to take?

Do THOSE things.

The dishes can wait…  So can checking your email.

Amazing how that stuff always gets done eventually.

So step away from the To Do List.

Instead, take aim…
